Roy Nissany made his Formula 2 debut in 2018 with Campos Vexatec Racing. He had a tough start to his F2 career with only scoring one point in 2018 and then being unable to compete at all in 2019 due to a pre-season training accident. Nissany returned to F2 in 2020 to race for Trident Racing. He scored 5 points that season and ended the year in 19th overall. The Israeli driver moved to DAMS for the 2021 F2 season. He claimed his maiden podium finish at the Monaco round of that year. He ended the season 16th overall.

Nissany remained with DAMS for the 2022 season where he scored points in 8 of the rounds and finished the year 19th in the championship. During the post-season testing Nissany reunited with Charouz Racing System and shortly after, it was announced that he would join the team, newly named PHM Racing by Charouz, for the 2023 season.
