Clement Novalak made his Formula 3 debut in 2020 on the back of his British Formula 3 title win. He drove for Carlin and scored his maiden podium in Austria. He finished the 2020 season 12th in the championship, and it was announced he would move to Trident for the 2021 season. He scored his first podium at the very first round of the year and followed up with a successful rest of season with 3 more podiums. The French driver ended the season 3rd in the championship. 

For the 2022 season Novalak made the move up to Formula 2 with MP Motorsport. Although he had a slow start to the season, he finished 2nd in the sprint race at Zandvoort, scoring him his maiden F2 podium. He finished the season 14th in the standings, and it was announced that he would reunite with Trident for the 2023 season.
