Günther was quickest off the line but ultimately was unable to defend from Wehrlein who launched his Porsche around the outside of Dennis on the first lap to take second. It was lap 4 that changed the running order at the front, with Wehrlein managing to pass Günther for the race lead.

Günther was back in the lead on lap 11 after Wehrlein took his second 50kW boost, but the pair swapped places the following lap and Wehrlein was able to manage a comfortable lead right to the chequered flag.

Jake Dennis had started 2nd on the grid but had been pushed down to 4th during the first couple of laps. On lap 17, the Brit was able to make a clean move on Vandoorne to put himself back into the top 3 and he was now eyeing 2nd place with four minutes left of his final Attack Mode boost.

With 12 laps to go, Dennis was able to pass Günther for 2nd place. He tried to stay close to race leader Wehrlein but ultimately, he didn’t have the power to fight for the victory, so he crossed the line in 2nd with Günther crossing the line as the final podium place.

Stoffel Vandoorne led his teammate Jean-Éric Vergne across the finish line to finish in 4th and 5th respectively. Günther’s Maserati MSG Racing teammate Edoardo Mortara came home in 6th.

Nick Cassidy tried to make a move on Vergne but came from a long way back and was lucky to avoid damage to the front of his car. Despite the early scare it was still a points finish for Cassidy in 7th place.

15 seconds back from the top 7, season 6 champion António Félix Da Costa crossed the line in 8th place just ahead of Robin Frijins in 9th who took ABT Cupra’s first points. It was Jake Hughes for Neom McLaren who took the last points finishing position to come home in 10th.

Nico Müller just missed out on points to finish in 11th place ahead of Norman Nato for the Nissan Team. Dan Ticktum brought it home in 13th followed by Mahindra Racing’s Lucas Di Grassi.

The second Neom McLaren of René Rast came home in 15th to lead the Andretti of David Beckmann in 16th. Sérgio Sette Cámara crossed the line in 17th with the second of the Mahindra’s, Roberto Marhi, finishing in 18th

19th and 18th were taken by Sacha Fenestras in the Nissan and Sebastian Buemi for the Envision team.

The first yellow flag of the race came on the penultimate lap when Sam Bird hit teammate Mitch Evans as he tried to pass him for 8th. Evans was unable to continue the race and Bird dropped all the way down to 21st as the last of the finishers.
