Zane Maloney made his single-seater debut in the 2019 British F4 Championship. He won 10 races and was on the podium 15 times. Maloney won the championship at the final round of the season by 20 points. In 2020, Maloney contested in the Euroformula Open Championship with Carlin. He scored his first podium in the second race of the season and went on to score another one that season to finish 8th in the standings. 

In 2021, Maloney contested in the Formula Regional European Championship with R-ace GP. He scored 7 podiums including a win and finished the year in 4th in the standings. In 2022, the Barbadian driver drover for Trident in the FIA Formula 3 Championship where he scored 4 podiums including 3 wins which would allow him to finish the season in 2nd place. For the 2023 season, Maloney is set to switch to Carlin to contest in the FIA Formula 2 Championship.
