bio:

Jonny Edgar made his car racing debut in the 2019 Italian F4 Championship with Jenzer Motorsport. He scored two podiums, two pole positions and two fastest laps and finished the season in 10th place. In 2020, Edgar raced in both the Italian F4 Championship and the ADAC Formula 4 championship. He finished the Italian Championship 4th in the standings despite only driving part-time due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The British driver did win the ADAC Championship with 11 podiums including 6 wins.

In 2021, Edgar moved up to the Formula 3 championship to drive for Carlin. Although it was a touch season for the Brit, a handful of points scoring finishes would let him finish 18th in the drivers’ standings. For the 2022 season, Edgar switched to Trident. After a difficult start to the season the Brit revealed he had been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease over the winter and made driving difficult for him. He took some time off to prioritise his health and returned for the fourth round at Silverstone where he took his first points of the season. Edgar ended the season in 12th after scoring points in the last 6 races of the season. For the 2023 season, Edgar is moving to MP Motorsport.
