LANCE STROLL TO MISS PRE-SEASON TESTING

Lance Stroll will miss out on pre-season testing in Bahrain after a bicycle accident in Spain.

Aston Martin have revealed that Stroll, whilst training for the season ahead, sustained injuries during a bicycle accident.

Due to this incident, Aston Martin announced in a statement, that he will be unable to partake in testing on the 23-25 February.

The team are hoping that he will be able to return to his driving duties as soon as possible as to not miss the Bahrain Grand Prix on 5th March. His fitness will be assessed daily.

In a statement released by the team, Lance Stroll said that he is “determined to get back in the car” and that he is “motivated to bounce back from this setback as quickly as possible”.

Aston Martin have 2 reserve drivers, reigning Formula E champion, Stoffel Vandoorne and Formula 2 champion, Felipe Drugovich. We are anticipating an announcement as to who we might see in his place over the testing period or whether Fernando Alonso will be seen across all testing sessions instead.
