Fabio Quartararo started his career in France at the age of 4. He later moved to Spain to compete in the Promovelocidad Cup. Before he was a MotoGP rider, he won six Spanish junior championship titles including successive CEV Moto3 titles in 2013 and 2014. He was tipped for big things from a young age, but he failed to meet these expectations when he moved into Moto3 and then Moto2.

He was signed by Petronas Yamaha MotoGP for the 2019 Premier Class season and a lot of people were shocked at this signing, some even suggesting he did not deserve the MotoGP seat. However, the Frenchman proved his doubters wrong by collecting seven podiums and six pole positions in his rookie year. He finished as Rookie of the Year and was 5th in the Championship standings. 2020 started off strong for Quartararo, he achieved his first race win in Jerez and went on to win a further 2 races that year. He had a tough end to the season with the pressure getting to him, but he vowed to come back in 2021 with a stronger mentality. The young Frenchman came back in 2021 to ride for the Factory Yamaha team and achieved the dream he’d been working towards. With ten podiums including five wins, Fabio Quartararo was crowned the MotoGP World Champion making him the first Frenchman in history to achieve the title. In the 2022 season, Quartararo put up a fight but ultimately, he had to settle for 2nd place in the championship.
