Alex Rins made his Moto3 debut in 2012 with Estrella Galicia 0,0. He took his first pole position in Spain and took his first podium in France. He had a consistent run of form throughout the season and finished 5th overall and won rookie of the year. He remained with the team for the 2013 season. Rins scored 14 podiums including 6 wins and finished in 2nd overall. He remained with the team for another year in 2014, he scored 8 podiums including 2 wins and finished the year in 3rd. Rins moved up to the Moto2 class for the 2015 season with the Paginas Amarillas HP 40 team. Rins achieved 10 podiums including 2 wins and finished 2nd in the championship and winning rookie of the year. He remained with the team for 2016 and achieved 7 podiums including 2 wins to finish the season in 3rd place overall. 

 

Rins moved up to the MotoGP class in 2017 with the Suzuki Ecstar Team. He had a tough start to the season when he broke his wrist and was forced to miss two months of the season. He finished his season with a best finish of 4th place in Valencia. He remained with the team for the 2018 season where he achieved 5 podiums and finished the year in 5th place overall. During the 2019 season, Rins took his first Grand Prix win in America after a late crash from Marc Marquez. He took another 2 podiums including another win at Silverstone to finish 4th overall. In 2020, Rins took 4 podiums including 1 win to finish 3rd in the championship. 2021 was a difficult season for Rins with a string of bad luck resulting in a handful of DNFs. He scored a 2nd place at Silverstone and finished in 13th place. For the 2022 season, Rins scored 4 podiums including 2 wins in the last three rounds of the season. It was also announced that Suzuki would be withdrawing from the series at the end of the season, so Rins was forced to find another team for 2023.
